Distortion
Distortion effects add harmonics by nonlinearly shaping the waveform.
Saturation
Soft saturation using the transfer function x / (1 + k|x|).

Wavefolding
Wavefolding reflects the signal when it exceeds ±1, using sin(x × amount × π/2).
